A PRESS CONFERENCE WAS CONDUCTED TO DISCUSS THE ‘100 SMART FACTORIES’ PROJECT.

A press conference was held on the premises of the Prelog city administration, where Culmena and the "100 Smart Factories" project were presented.

Company representatives, director Anja Štefanić and Ph.D. professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding at the University of Zagreb – Nedeljko Štefanić spoke about the project. The City of Prelog was represented by Željko Poredoš, head of the Administrative Department for Economy and Finance of the City of Prelog.

Culmena was founded in 2004 and since then it has completed more than 350 successful projects. We introduced Croatian companies to the Lean methodology and were among the first to advocate the importance of digital transformation and Green Management. We continuously invest in the development of expertise and know-how to enable our clients to keep up with global business trends.

The "100 Smart Factories" project was launched in May 2019 with the aim of creating a more significant number of smart factories in order to secure their position in the market. The company's transformation is made possible through the Culis methodology, which is the result of many years of experience in production and work on process optimization. It consists of Lean, Digital, and Green transformation.

The goals of the project are to encourage companies to develop and use models and technologies characteristic of Smart Factories, development of new knowledge and skills of employees who will work in Smart Factories and Smart Companies, and faster and more efficient transformation of companies using the Culis methodology.

In 2023, five events are planned throughout Croatia where workshops will be held with the intention of presenting the "100 smart factories" project. The first city in 2023 is the City of Prelog, which recognized the significance of the project for the economy of the City of Prelog. In addition to the presentation through which basic information about the project will be presented and the innovative concept of Smart Factories will be introduced, this will be a great opportunity for networking with entrepreneurs, manufacturing companies, and other names from the industry in Međimurje County and beyond.

The official presentation of the project in Prelog is planned for February 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the premises of the Prelog Entrepreneurship Center. Entrepreneurs, craftsmen, and farmers from the area of Prelog and beyond are invited.
