We were founded in 2004 and Expo in Japan was our first project. Event organizing, work on cultural projects, education and business consulting marked our first years of work.
The Expo in Japan (where the project was recognized by the Emperor of Japan) introduced us to Toyota Japan and their way of doing things by Lean. This took us to America, to MIT, where we went to further education and decided that we wanted to introduce Croatian companies to the benefits of this methodology. Upon our return, we started with the first implementations in Croatian companies.
We organized the first Green And Lean Production conference in Zagreb, where Michael Ballé, a Lean expert and author, was one of the speakers. In an effort to spread awareness of Lean, the logical sequence was to bring together companies and professionals, which is how the GALP Conference was created. Businesses that work or want to work in Lean have been given a place to share knowledge and experience. As part of the conference, attendees visit factories and businesses that show how they applied Lean.
We are opening new areas of implementation for Lean in Croatia. Banks, hospitals and services want to optimize their processes and apply Lean in their work, and we emphasize the universality of its application in different companies. We are launching an Improve Croatia initiative that wants to announce that there is room for improvement and optimization of processes everywhere.
We had organized the first Lean Spring Summit conference, which by its very name says it takes place in the spring, on our beautiful coast. The two-day conference brings together economy and science, bringing the latest trends in Lean and digitalization. With GALP, LSS becomes the second annual conference in our organization.
We gathered a team of experts and worked on the creation of a national platform for digitalization of the industry of the Republic of Croatia. We have attended European Commission meetings and the G20 meeting on the digitalization of the world industry. Together with Lean implementation, we also work in the field of digitalization and Green implementation, combined in Culis methodology.
For our 15-year anniversary, we re-branded ourselves and started a project “100 Smart Factories” that we presented at a Press conference. This project enables manufacturing companies to achieve faster Lean, digital and Green transformation, which lowers costs and provides many benefits. The project is based on the Culis methodology, which is the result of years of experience in working with manufacturing companies.
The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts considers our project “100 Smart Factories” as one of the great opportunities for the Croatian economy, and they have included us in the brochure “Croatia – Industry 4.0 Opportunities”. We have launched a Business Clinic in response to the COVID-19 crisis to help businesses retain jobs and sustain business.
